Dress Code Rants and Reason.
I have no idea why school officials should have any right on whether or not an outfit or shoe is appropriate during school.
Is it not right to wear gorgeous things to feel gorgeous? If the person’s intention is to be inappropriate, than they should act upon it.
That being said, how would a person determine if they are dressing ‘inappropriately’ or if they feel wonderful in what they are wearing?
In my case, i have worn these Jeffrey Campbell heels in a darker brown. These are my first pair of legitimate heels, and i feel confident when i wear them. My intention is not to act older, and i truly feel comfortable in these 3.5 inch shoes.
Most school guidelines do not allow shoes that have this high of a heel, because of safety reasons. They also believe that student will be uncomfortable while walking to class. I think a shoe is a shoe, and it wont hurt anybody.
But when school officials criticize you for wearing Leggings that have a lacey pattern underneath a dress with a cardigan, they are very quick to judge without reason.
It is true, i dress fairly older than i should, but the way i dress is respected by many other people. I normally keep my torso, and legs covered, but when i wear a skirt, i tend to wear stockings.
Would they prefer me to bare my legs instead of keeping on simple tights?
Schools have outrageous rules on things that are out of the norm. I continuously go against their rules, and they now give no more attention to me than a student wearing a tee shirt.
The occasional teacher compliments what i am wearing, and i see that they do accept what i wear. So wear those heels. Show them that a couple inches to your height, wont kill you.

Because red soles dont mean wealth.
It means that the person wearing them has a REASON to be wearing them.
